New Restaurants and Businesses Opening in St. George, Fall 2026
What's new in St. George for fall 2026: In-N-Out and a second Costco near Desert Color, Raising Cane's on River Road, a Megaplex and more on the way.
St. George's growth shows up fastest in its shopping centers. A few years ago, residents on the south end of town drove into the city for almost everything; now new restaurants, services and entertainment are opening near their neighborhoods. Here's a roundup of what's opened and what's on the way as of fall 2026, organized by area. To see homes near the newest amenities, browse St. George homes for sale.
Desert Color and SunRiver (South End, Near I-15)
The commercial area around Desert Color Parkway and the Southern Parkway has filled in quickly.
Open:
- Costco, St. George's second location, opened in March 2026
- In-N-Out Burger
- Cafe Rio, Mo'Bettahs, Panda Express and other quick-service restaurants
- Les Schwab Tire Center, Great Clips and a convenience store and gas station
Under construction or coming soon:
- Dutch Bros Coffee and a McDonald's
- A sports bar and an ice cream shop
- A car wash
- A Home2 Suites hotel
- A roughly 50-bed medical rehabilitation facility, plus new Intermountain Health facilities nearby
- The announced Megaplex entertainment center with movie theaters and bowling
For residents of SunRiver and Desert Color, that means groceries, dining and errands are now minutes away. More on the area is in the guides to living in SunRiver and what's being built around Desert Color.
River Road and the East Side
- Raising Cane's is coming to River Road, near TJ Maxx and across from Dick's Sporting Goods and Chick-fil-A, one of the most-requested chains in town.
- Hobby and RV garages: a new development of private garage units for boats, RVs and toys is planned near Costco, with lounge areas and an RV dump station. Storage like this is in demand in a region full of trailers and side-by-sides.
West Side
- Santo Forno, a Roman-style pizzeria with Southern European-inspired dishes, has opened on West Sunset Boulevard next to its sister shop, Gigi Gelati.
- A 7 Brew drive-through coffee stand is planned on Sunset Boulevard.
What It Means for Buyers
New retail tends to follow rooftops. The south end of St. George is the clearest example: as SunRiver and Desert Color filled in, shopping and services followed, and that convenience makes the area easier to live in. For buyers, it's worth looking at where commercial projects are approved, not just where homes are being built. A good overview of approved and proposed projects is in what's being built around St. George.
Bottom Line
From In-N-Out and a second Costco on the south end to Raising Cane's on River Road, St. George's dining and shopping options keep expanding. For help finding a home near the amenities you'll use most, contact Best Utah Real Estate.
