Charleston is a very small, rural town but there are a few small businesses in town. The natural scenery is beautiful, with views of Deer Creek Reservoir and the Wasatch Mountains.

For a gorgeous place to enjoy the great outdoors, visit Deer Creek State Park just minutes from your front door. Try windsurfing on, swimming in, boating in, fishingin, or zip lining over Deer Creek Reservoir. You can also camp overnight in either of two campgrounds, or dine at the Lakehouse Restaurant. 

If you want to try kitesurfing, you can get lessons from Uinta Kiting on Deer Creek Reservoir. 

Take the whole family to Island Aqua Water Park during the summer, where anyone over 48” tall and 6 years old can enjoy water obstacle courses, water games, and more between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Nearby are the towns of Midway and Heber City for additional shopping and dining.
